Ordering & Process

How far in advance should I order my cake?

We recommend ordering your cake at least 2 weeks in advance for standard custom cakes, and 4-6 weeks for wedding cakes or particularly complex designs. During peak seasons (summer months and holidays), we suggest booking even earlier to secure your date.

How do I place an order?

You can place an order by filling out our contact form, calling us, or sending an email. We'll discuss your requirements, provide a quote, and guide you through the ordering process. A 50% deposit is required to confirm your order.

Do you offer cake tastings?

Yes, we offer cake tastings by appointment for wedding cakes and large event orders. The tasting fee is $30 for up to 4 flavor combinations, which is then deducted from your final order if you proceed with booking. Please contact us to schedule a tasting session.

What information do you need for my cake order?

To provide an accurate quote and create the perfect cake, we'll need details such as:

Designs & Customization

Can you recreate a design from a photo?

What cake flavors and fillings do you offer?

We offer a wide range of flavors including vanilla, chocolate, red velvet, carrot, lemon, and specialty options like salted caramel and raspberry white chocolate. Absolutely! We create custom cakes for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, christenings, corporate events, graduations, baby showers, and any other celebration that calls for a special cake. Our designs range from elegant and sophisticated to fun and playful, depending on your requirements.

Pricing & Payment

How much do your cakes cost?

Our cake prices vary based on size, design complexity, and specific requirements. Basic custom cakes start at $95, while wedding cakes typically start at $350. For a personalized quote, please contact us with your specific requirements. We're happy to work with various budgets while maintaining our quality standards.

What is your payment policy?

We require a 50% deposit to confirm your order and secure your date. The remaining balance is due 7 days before delivery. For last-minute orders (when available), full payment is required at the time of booking. We accept bank transfers and credit card payments.

Do you have a cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel your order, please notify us as soon as possible. Cancellations made more than 14 days before the delivery date will receive a 70% refund of the deposit. Cancellations within 14 days of the delivery date are non-refundable as materials have been purchased and production scheduled. Date changes are subject to availability.

Delivery & Setup

Do you deliver cakes?

Yes, we offer delivery throughout Auckland. Delivery fees start at $25 and vary based on distance. For wedding cakes and tiered designs, we recommend our delivery and setup service to ensure your cake arrives in perfect condition. Alternatively, you can collect your cake from our Glenfield location by appointment.

How should I store my cake?

For best results, our cakes should be kept in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Most cakes can be stored at room temperature for 1-2 days. If you need to refrigerate your cake, allow it to come to room temperature for 1-2 hours before serving for optimal flavor and texture. Detailed storage instructions will be provided with your cake.

How far in advance is my cake prepared?

We bake and prepare all cakes fresh for your event. Typically, baking begins 1-2 days before your delivery or collection date to ensure optimal freshness. Certain decorative elements may be prepared earlier to allow adequate drying time, especially for intricate sugar work.
